Start your day connecting with nature, balancing your body, mind and soul with a yoga session on the north shore of Koh Samui. A peaceful feeling is enhanced by the first sun rays caressing your skin, the mild breeze and the tropical vegetation that surrounds you. Namaste. Let this state of mind embrace you for the rest of the day.
Pamper yourself in the infinity swimming pool and read your favorite novel. The one and only “must event” you cannot miss is the beautiful sun set. You can pair it with a glass of champagne and a selection of chef Khun Bee’s signature Thai dishes.
Celadon Villa is an architectural reference in Thailand, a secluded hilltop retreat combining avant-garde contemporary architecture with a privileged location on the coast of Koh Samui, on one of Thailand’s most sought after coastlines.
The villa, right by Bang Por beach, reveals magnificent views of Koh Samui’s North coast and the neighbouring islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao and provides guests with ultimate privacy.
Villa Celadon is located just west of Maenam on the calm North shore of Koh Samui. The villa overlooks the beautiful and quiet Bang Por beach, a 4km long palm fringed sandy beach for year-round swimming. Celadon is just 300m from the sea which makes it very accessible. This accommodation is on a private road and is highly recommendable if you are looking for some privacy and relax.
Celadon is perched on a secluded hilltop above the Gulf of Thailand. Its ideal location allows you to enjoy far reaching views across to neighboring islands like Koh Phangan & Koh Tao. The breathtaking sunset views over the Ang Thong Marine Park are mind-blowing, so take a camera and capture them.
Architecture & decor
This four-bedroom villa that was designed by Gary Fell combines a cutting-edge architecture with a luxurious interior. The house was completed in 2010 and it is made of white pillars, floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and offers airiness both inside and out. The house has been decorated following traditional Thai elements, petrified Indonesian woods, some Italian-style furniture and and decor from around the globe. There is an alabaster Buddha from an antique shop in Bangkok and a tapestry of faded aprons from Kathmandu. The house contains unique paintings, sculptures and a chic patterned wallpaper. Some interior designers consider Celadon style as eclectic and constantly evolving.
The villa comes with its own tropical garden containing a wide variety of local plants. There is also an infinity pool (16m x 10m), badminton court and table tennis. The alfresco living area will make your delights when having a dinner with your family or friends.
Butler, chef and concierge services
The villa's staff will look out for your comfort at all times. You can also count on the services of the villa’s very own private chef, Khun Bee, that elaborates delicious Thai and international specialities.
While the in-house dining service is excellent, during your stay you might also wish to explore the gastronomic offerings outside the villa: the W and Four Seasons hotels, on each side of the villa, boast amazing high-end bars and restaurants, while Bang Por beach offers some of the best seafood on the island. You just need to tell the butler your preferences and he will arrange everything for you.
Whereas you might wish to spend all your time in the unparalleled comfort of the villa, there is plenty to do in its proximity. The nearby Ang Thong Marine Park is an ideal spot to indulge in numerous water-based activities, such as dolphin and turtle spotting, while the waters around Koh Tao are famous for the presence of the impressive whale sharks.
Golf enthusiasts can also visit the nearby Santiburi golf course that is host to the PGA Asian circuit, while those feeling the need for some relax might prefer the yoga and massage sessions available in the privacy of the villa.
For those wishing to venture further away, the villa is an ideal base from where to explore the rest of the Koh Samui: elephant trekking, waterfalls, shopping in the local markets and nightlife or boat excursions to the deserted islands off the South coast of Koh Samui, the Five Islands, Koh Tan & Koh Matsum.
The villa has 4 double bedrooms with a bathroom and private terrace. The style is contemporary throughout, with plentiful open spaces and diaphanous structures, making the most out of Celadon Villa's privileged location and the tropical light that illuminates its atmosphere.
