El Palauet, which means “The Little Palace” in Catalan, is a five-floor aristocratic mansion built in 1906, during the golden era of Barcelona’s modernism (the acclaimed Catalan version of Art Nouveau).
In fact, El Palauet’s architect Pere Falqués is contemporary of Gaudí and one of the exponents of this celebrated artistic wave, whose legacy has made Barcelona a must-go destination for architecture and design enthusiasts from all over the World.
El Palauet's perfectly preserved facade and interiors take you to a bygone era of glamour and elegance, while the tasteful and stylish renovation of the property has provided it with all the comforts of a contemporary boutique luxury hotel experience.
Interior decor has been enhanced with pieces by Eames, Saarinen, Platner, Jacobsen, Ron Arad, Van der Rohe and Starck as well as furniture by Antonio Citterio.
Centrally located on Barcelona’s most elegant shopping avenue: Passeig de Gracia. El Palauet is literally just a few minutes from some of the city’s most iconic architectural masterpieces, such as Gaudí’s Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera) and Casa Batlló.
The hotel is located 3,5 km from the beach and is just a 20 minute walk away. You can easily get there strolling down Las Ramblas - once you arrive to the Christopher Columbus monument you will find the port and Barceloneta beach.
El Palauet features six double-bedroom suites with an ensuite bathroom. Each of the suites features unique decor and charm.
