You have just landed in Morocco and jumped into your Jeep to get ready to head the route that separates the airport from Kasbah Tamadot. The very first adventure of this journey is driving through the bustling city of Marrakesh and the remote reddish dunes of the desert, a real play of contrasts in just a 45-minute ride.
As you approach the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, isolated from the rest of the World, you spot Kasbah Tamadot, your final destination. Once here, do not be surprised to be received by Sir Richard Branson!
The successful entrepreneur spotted this old riad during a casual ballooning trip with his parents, while soaring over Morocco. After landing, they felt that they had to get a closer look at this magnificent property and drove back to it. The previous dealer, Luciano Tempo, invited them to step in and share a nice cup of coffee.
Back home, “My parents came back and said to me that unless I bought it and turned it into the most beautiful hotel in the world, they would disown me,” Sir Richard Branson says. And who was he to disappoint his parents? So, once again, he stood in front of Kasbah Tamadot’s door, knocked and, as he crossed the interior courtyard, he completely fell in love with the property and everything around it.
Since then, this is his own “play area”, a luxurious haven of peace to host friends, including Mick Jagger, Annie Lennox, Peter Gabriel... And yourself.

Step in and you will instantly understand why this hideaway was named Soft Breeze (Tamadot, in Berber). A delightful collection of tiled courtyards, gardens, unique art pieces, tapestries and exquisitely carved doors and ceilings are just an appetizer of what this luxurious Kasbah has to offer.

You can see all seasons in one day here. Watch the snow-capped mountains surrounding the area while you plunge into the warm infinity pool.

After an intense hiking session during the morning, it’s time to explore the area from a different perspective, fly up in the sky on a hot air balloon and feel why, according to Sir Branson, “the best place in the world to launch balloons from is Morocco".

Lower your heart rate dipping into the private jacuzzi of your Berber Tent with its unbeatable views of Mount Toubkal, the Atlas’ highest peak.

And by the end of the day, feel the tranquility of this utter paradise indulging your palate with the specialities elaborated by Kanoun restaurant’s Chef. Under the starlit sky and surrounded by the warm African breeze, you turn to find that look from the love of your life.
